What is the full form of ITI? The Full Form of ITI is Industrial Training Institute. ITI is an industrial course, after completing it;get a job in government or private sector or even open own business. Class 8th to 12th Students can do, In the ITI curriculum, the student is prepared to work at the industrial level. So, that can work in a good company. 

ITI consists of many trades such as electrician, computer operator, diesel mechanic, wire-man, fitter, plumber, turner and craftsman food production etc.


Types of ITI Courses


There are two main types of ITI courses:

  1. Engineering course
  2. Non-engineering courses


Engineering course: Engineering courses focus on science, technology, mathematics, design machines, structures, software, hardware and systems and processes. The sector offers a range of career opportunities in all industries.

Engineering course: Non-engineering courses, as the name suggests, are generally not a technical course. This course provides on soft skills, language and specific knowledge. In this articles find both engineering and non-engineering course.

ITI course duration details


The duration of ITI courses depends on trades, some trades are 1 year and some trades are 2 or 3 years. 

Eligibility Criteria for ITI Courses


The eligibility Criteria and conditions fixed by the competent authorisation will have to be fulfilled, and then there will be admission. The terms and conditions of general eligibility are given.

For admission to the ITI course, candidate has to qualify the entrance exam; only then admission will be done.

Every year the entrance exam form comes out in the month of June or July. Fill online by visiting the official website of ITI.

  • Qualification: The minimum educational qualification should be at least Class 8th, 10th and 12th. But it depends on trade.
  • Age Limit: The age of the candidate should be within 14 to 40 years
  • Entrance Exam: Candidates will have to qualify entrance examination for admission in ITI College.


Fees Structure


Candidates do ITI diploma course from private college, average fees 28 thousand to 40 thousand will be incurred.

Candidates do ITI from Government College; qualify in the entrance exam first. Which will be filled through the exam form online, for filling in the general category Rs. 550 and SC/ ST RS? 100. There is no fee for completing ITI from Government College.

ITI Salary


The average salary is INR 25,000 to 26,000 after doing ITI from the Government sector. Salary of government job is good but doing government job is a bit tough. ITI has a lot of scope, many options such as loco pilot, train driver, electrician, and work in Delhi metro etc., Day by day increase demand for students doing ITI.

The private sector: ITI candidates have to pay around INR 5000 to 6000 in the private sector. Salary will increase every year according to work experience. Candidates can work in a big company like Tata motors and Bajaj.

Note: More salaries in the government and private sector are found in the government sector.

There are many advantages of doing this course as compared to theory, it is practical so that the students understand well and the weak students also study well, and there is no need to have any books or knowledge of English to do this course.
